10. Scream
– Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson

This was a solid collaboration between a brother and sister act. The high pitch screams on the track, with heart thumping bass effects and sounds of electrocution are certainly a little freaky. Towards the end of the track, Michael even drops the “F-bomb” – listen for it.

9. I Put a Spell On You – Bette Midler

This is a remake version featured in Disney’s movie “Hocus Pocus” and certainly a catchy tune for this time of year. You’ll see your guests sing along and maybe even say, “hey I remember this one”.

8. This Is Halloween – Marilyn Manson

The fact that Marilyn Manson is behind this track definitely gives it some spook factor. This track is actually from the movie soundtrack of “The Night Before Christmas” and a great video to look up online. A great Halloween song from a Christmas flick – go figure!

7. Halloween – Main Movie Theme – John Carpenter

This one gets you to pay attention as the musical effects make you feel like you should be careful in your surroundings. Can someone pop out to startle you? When this song is playing, it does add the feeling of uncertainty to the room. Be careful…

6. A Nightmare on My Street – DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince

Will Smith and his buddy Jazzy Jeff created this hip version for the younger generation. A little Halloween rap makes this track memorable and the sounds effects make it a contender to make this type of list.

5. Ghostbusters – Ray Parker Jr.

Who you going to call? – Ghostbusters! This is another favourite of many Radio DJs at this time of year and always a good one on the playlist as fans of the original movie and younger audiences have certainly been exposed to this track along the way.

4. Somebody’s Watching Me – Rockwell (features Michael Jackson)

This was not only a big hit in the 80s but a great video, very creepy all around. Michael Jackson adds background vocals and a song that you’ll be thinking about or humming along to long after. A must have for your playlist.

3. Monster Mash – Bobby Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers

The ultimate classic as this song gets much airtime every year and has been out for at least 50 years. Do the mash has become a dance floor favourite for them hip swingers!

2. This is Halloween – Danny Elfman

Here’s another song from a movie soundtrack - “The Nightmare Before Christmas” movie features this musical track as a buildup in the story line. Certainly deserving of making the Top 10 list of your playlist to be and will be enjoyed by your music minded friends.

1. Thriller – Michael Jackson

…..and our absolute favourite is; “The BEST Entertainer of All-Time” and the genius of Michael Jackson. This song probably gets more airtime than all others that are featured on this list. If you have not seen the video (short movie style) for this number in a while, then we suggest you watch it again and perhaps introduce it to the young kids (if they can handle it)!

Have fun this Halloween, stay safe and enjoy all the fun that goes with it. Remember to tune your home audio speakers beforehand. Remember, our team is available should you need your audio speakers tuned or installed to carry out the fun. Feel free to Contact Us for more info.
